This is a delicate thread and I definitely don't want to discuss E/C matters. I only wanted to give a heads up, informatively, that apparently only 15% of the Americans believe in evolution.

But it's a serious business if 46% of the Americans still believe in creation and rephrasing, 32% in intelligent design.

But for post-graduates that's still 25% creationists, 42% intelligent design and 29% evolutionists.

So every time we do away with creationism as a fringe phenomenom, they outnumber 'us' 3:1

1. What is the Gallup Poll and why is it relevant?

The Gallup Poll is a survey conducted by the Gallup organization to measure public opinion on a variety of topics. It is relevant because it provides insight into the beliefs and perspectives of the American population.

2. What does the 46% creationist statistic mean?

The 46% creationist statistic means that 46% of the American population believes that God created humans in their present form within the last 10,000 years.

3. How does this statistic compare to previous years?

The Gallup Poll has been measuring creationist beliefs since 1982, and the percentage has remained relatively consistent over the years. In 2019, the percentage was 40%, so there has been a slight increase in creationist beliefs.

4. Is this statistic representative of the entire U.S. population?

The Gallup Poll uses a random sample of adults aged 18 and older living in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. While this sample is representative of the entire U.S. population, there may be some margin of error in the results.

5. Why is it important to track creationist beliefs in the U.S.?

Tracking creationist beliefs can provide insight into the religious and cultural landscape of the country. It can also inform discussions and policies surrounding education, science, and religion in society.
