AI Thread Summary
Waves in physics can be challenging for beginners, especially if they are more familiar with motion. High school textbooks are recommended as a solid starting point for foundational knowledge. Engaging with specific questions can enhance understanding and clarify concepts. Additional resources, such as online tutorials or videos, may also be beneficial. A strong grasp of basic wave principles is essential for further study in physics.

Hi,
we are starting Waves in physics at school (I'm only strong in motion) - So if you guys have anything basic to learn from to do with waves in physics that would be great!

Thanks!

I'd say your book is pretty good material. If you have some specific questions feel free to ask!

Yeah honestly, for the basics I would just look into your high school text.

So I know that electrons are fundamental, there's no 'material' that makes them up, it's like talking about a colour itself rather than a car or a flower. Now protons and neutrons and quarks and whatever other stuff is there fundamentally, I want someone to kind of teach me these, I have a lot of questions that books might not give the answer in the way I understand. Thanks
