"Proper English grammar and correct spelling"
"We have members from across the globe, guests from literally every nation on earth"

Yes, we are an English spoken community. Members should try to the best of their ability and if need be use spell checkers like the really useful https://www.grammarly.com

Quality of writing matters. First impressions matter. Our discussions are not transient. They stay, year after year like a knowledge base. I'm not saying it has to be perfect.

These values have been in place for years now. If you haven't gotten a notice about your spelling, then you're doing just fine.

u know , evn someone from BF , Marianas Trench , shouldknow y this isn't rite

It is not like I expect perfect English (heck, my English is in many ways limited), just showing that the poster doesn't ignore the most basic rules. In a way it is like showing work when asking the question AKA 'prove that you are serious'.

Anyway, I finally got a paper on the same matter as discussed in those forum threads, the fat lens model, got it peer-reviewed, and IJRAP...
About 20 years ago, in my mid-30s (and with a BA in economics and a master's in business), I started taking night classes in physics hoping to eventually earn the science degree I'd always wanted but never pursued. I found physics forums and used it to ask questions I was unable to get answered from my textbooks or class lectures. Unfortunately, work and life got in the way and I never got further the freshman courses. Well, here it is 20 years later. I'm in my mid-50s now, and in a...
