AI Thread Summary
The general GRE test allows test-takers to see their scores for the Quantitative and Verbal sections immediately after completing the exam. This immediate scoring is possible due to the computer-based format, which compares responses to a database of previous test-taker performances. However, scores for the Analytical Writing section are not available right away and will be provided later in the official score report. The official score report includes the scores for all sections, including the writing section, which is typically released several days after the test.

My question is about the general GRE test.

On the practice tests provided by ETS, you see your score immediately after the test has ended. Is this how it is at the real test? It seems like the computer could grade your test immediately, since it is merely comparing your score to previous test takers. If this is the case, what information is included in you official score report?

Yes, you will receive your score for Quantitative and Verbal immediately after you take the test.

Of course, will have to wait for you score for the writing section.
