I was just about to post about this. I love Hans' outlook. Melinda Gates called him an "evidence based optimist." I really like that description and I think that label would describe me as well.

I was just getting into all his work- was putting it on hold until I finished my pure math stuff. Then I was going to dive into this stats/data science stuff that is exploding now. Shoot.
