Happy International Women's Day!

Indeed :approve:

Without you our lives would be boring.
It is a shame we need a special day for us to remember to even tell you.
Actually, Women's day should be about men doing the homework every other day of the year

I will not go into very sad and very serisous things around our neighbourhood, and all over the world, making it mandatory to have an international women's day. I will just take the occasion to thank all of you out there, to be our mothers, friends and wives. Without you we would be nothing. Even though we look like stupid insensitive beast from the outside, deep inside we love you :!)

So thank you for bearing with us

where's my presents?

Hardy,Hardy... you material(istic) girl.

And thank you for the nice thoughts guys.

Uhm... this time I could actually prepare the meal
I have improved my cooking during the last few months :-p

edit oops, I just realized : I never made chocolates... so I will not be able to cook them :blushing:

Not as such. It's just common knowledge that we get the other 364

You're right. How could I be so blind? :-p

Although, we should split it into... well, let's say 182 Women's days and 183 Men's days.. So, every 4 years you get absolute gender equality. Ooops, I'm acting like a sexist!

Haha, I don't know about that. It's close enough to equality :-p (OK, I'll leave that point now, as I don't fancy having all the women in here come after me!)

I did a quick google on the men's day though and found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Men's_Day

International men's day is celebated on completely different days in different countries-- that's how clever we are

Wow, I love it when men shower us with praise on holidays I didn't even know existed! Thanks.

Does any chocolate come with this deal?

Chocolate certainly is involved! In honor of the PF sisterhood, I am going to break into my wife's stash of Ghirardelli Twilight Delight dark chocolate and eat a square for each of you.

See? They only care about presents and chocolate. I wonder what would happen if they really had 182 days for themselves, as I naively suggested.

Aww...how sweet of you. Just make sure you replace what you took before your wife notices it's missing.

I'll just leave the wrappers out on the kitchen counter - she'll re-stock - no worries! I don't much like milk chocolate, but the dark stuff is pretty good - If Ghirardelli cut back on the sugar a bit, I'd like it even more. :-p

I have relented, and instead of raiding the Twilight Delight, I raided the bag of Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate bits in the freezer. Once I started counting all you PF sisters, it occurred to me that I would have to eat a LOT of chocolate to honor you all. This way, I think I've got you all covered without risking a heart attack. My mother used to have to hide semi-sweet chocolate from me when I was an ankle-biter. I guess I haven't changed a lot.

Any idea how to hide the chocolate from oneself? I've been known to dive into the semisweet morsels myself...especially if they are Ghirardelli! :approve:

I have no real good ideas about that. At my age, I hide things from myself without even wanting to. I have to confess that I used to eat unsweetened chocolate as a kid, as well as the semi-sweet. I loved the flavor and didn't need the sugar to keep me interested.
