Heart rate and touch-sensitive sensor help?

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on adapting a heart rate sensor for Bluetooth connectivity to display data on a phone or computer. The recommended starting point is the Instructables guide titled "Pulse Sensor With Bluetooth and Arduino," which provides a comprehensive approach to integrating the sensor with Arduino hardware. Users are advised to ensure that both the heart rate and touch-sensitive sensors are operational, triggering an alarm if the touch sensor is not activated. This project combines hardware modification with software programming to achieve the desired functionality.

PREREQUISITES
  • Basic understanding of Arduino programming
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth communication protocols
  • Knowledge of heart rate sensor components
  • Experience with touch-sensitive sensor integration
NEXT STEPS
  • Research Arduino libraries for Bluetooth communication
  • Explore heart rate sensor specifications and data sheets
  • Learn about integrating touch-sensitive sensors with Arduino
  • Investigate alarm notification systems for Bluetooth-enabled devices
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for hobbyists, electronics enthusiasts, and developers interested in wearable technology, particularly those looking to integrate heart rate monitoring with Bluetooth capabilities.

Question Details
Ok, so want to get a heart rate sensor, take it apart, and adapt it to make it bluetooth enabled so i can see the heart rate on a phone/computer. Where should I start? What hardware and software should I use? I'm really a beginner and have no idea where to start lol.

Also, I want to make it so that if both the heart rate and touch sensitive sensors are touched, everything is fine (the circuit is complete?) but if the touch sensitive sensor isn't being touched, that sets off a sort of alarm (on the phone/computer, through Bluetooth). I know this is a big question, but if anyone could please help? Where should I start?
