I'm so happy to have found this site. I'd love to understand more about how my world is "put together" and the study of physics is the place to learn it.

I'm no physicist, teacher or mathematician...I'm just a guy who wants to understand. (It's exciting! And...confusing.)

I'd like to understand this stuff at a more fundamental level, so I've been thinking of taking some online math courses. If any of you have suggestions, send them my way, I'd appreciate it.

Expect to see a ton of questions from me.

Thanks for creating a place where the unwashed masses (such as myself) can ask questions...

Thank you.

Steve

Physics news on Phys.org
Welcome to the forum, Steve. If you do a forum search you'll probably find suggestions for intro math and physics online courses and books. Make sure you read the forum rules. This is one of those forums where the rules are taken very seriously, but I don't think that's likely to be an issue for you since they are mostly about warding off crackpots and sticking to main-steam physics.

Good luck w/ your studies.

Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics. I wanted to join a science forum, especially one dedicated to Physics and maths, to apply these subjects to my engineering studies. I hope to learn a lot through this forum. Thank you for your warm welcome.
