AI Thread Summary
The hexagonal feature on Saturn is likely caused by fluid dynamics, as similar patterns have been observed in laboratory experiments involving vortex formations. The phenomenon may relate to standing waves created by jets applied at the circumference of a fluid vat. This connection suggests that the hexagon is a result of complex atmospheric dynamics on Saturn. Further investigation by NASA aims to deepen the understanding of this unique structure. The discussion highlights the intersection of planetary science and fluid dynamics in explaining celestial phenomena.

I've seen this same sort of pattern in a fluid dynamics experiment, though I can't remember the details. When jets where applied at the circum. of a vat, the vortex formed was in various shapes, one like a hexagon. It had something to do with standing waves maybe.

Now that they have shared their findings with the larger community someone else might find an explanation - or maybe it was actually made by life.
TL;DR Summary: In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation. In case of failure to detect alien signals, it will further expand the radius of the so-called silence (or rather, radio silence) of the Universe. Is there any sense in this or is blissful ignorance better? In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation.
