Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around finding the net force from two vectors represented in an image, focusing on the angles and the direction of the resultant force. The context appears to be homework-related, with participants seeking to clarify the necessary information and steps to approach the problem.

Discussion Character

  • Homework-related, Conceptual clarification

Main Points Raised

  • One participant asks how to find the net force and its direction given two vectors with the same angles.
  • Another participant notes the need for additional information, specifically the angle between the vectors, and requests that the original poster show their work.
  • A later reply suggests a hypothetical scenario where the angle between the vectors is assumed to be 45 degrees for the sake of discussion.
  • Another participant advises posting in the appropriate homework section and filling out a template to provide more context and personal effort in solving the problem.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants generally agree that additional information is required to proceed with the problem, and there is no consensus on how to approach the solution without this information.

Contextual Notes

Limitations include the lack of specific angle information between the vectors and the need for the original poster to demonstrate their understanding and work on the problem.

you need to know some additional info: the angle between the vectors.

and given that you need to show some work before we can help you.

It's just an example for me to understand something, but I didn't know that it missed some additional info sorry, lol.
Let's suppose that the angle is 45 degree.

Please post this in the appropriate homework section, fill out the template and show what you have done yourself to solve the problem.
