AI Thread Summary
To post images on PF, users can either link to images hosted on external websites or upload files directly from their computers. For images online, right-clicking the picture allows users to copy the image location, which can then be pasted into the post using the insert image feature. For files stored locally, users should navigate to the "manage attachments" section to upload images, ensuring they meet any size requirements. The discussion emphasizes the limitations of posting in certain forums, noting that only GD and possibly Brain Teasers allow for direct image uploads, while others require links.

How do you get them on to PF?

Physics news on Phys.org
U can't. Unless it's GD (and maybe Brain Teasers) the place where you want to put them. On the other forums, you can only give the link.

If they are on a website, you can right click on the picture, go to "properties", then copy the location, then paste it in your post using the yellow "insert image" icon above.

If it is a file on your computer like a jpg, gif, bmp, etc..., scroll down to the "manage attachments" section and you can attach them (that's what you see as "thumbnails"). You may have to reduce the size.

Here are the predictions of 2024 that did not make it: Peter Shor, David Deutsch and all the rest of the quantum computing community (various sources) Pablo Jarrillo Herrero, Allan McDonald and Rafi Bistritzer for magic angle in twisted graphene (various sources) Christoph...
