A Hungarian Physics Lab Uncovers Possible 5th Force of Nature

AI Thread Summary
A Hungarian physics lab led by Attila Krasznahorkay has reported an anomaly in radioactive decay that may indicate a fifth fundamental force of nature. This finding was initially shared in 2015 and later published in Physical Review Letters. The research has sparked interest and discussion within the scientific community regarding its implications. However, existing threads on this topic already cover similar discussions, leading to the closure of new threads on the subject. The exploration of this potential fifth force continues to be a significant area of inquiry in physics.

Has a Hungarian physics lab found a fifth force of nature?

Attila Krasznahorkay at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’s Institute for Nuclear Research in Debrecen, Hungary, and his colleagues say they spotted an anomaly in radioactive decay that could be the signature of a previously unknown fifth fundamental force of nature. They reported their surprising result in 2015 on the arXiv preprint server, and this January in the journal Physical Review Letters.

Has anyone some information about this line of research?

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
