If i apply for a clerk in the securities companies, will i get promoted to a trader?

im a physics and math major and my gpa is very low so i can only apply for noncompetitive job.

Whether you will be promoted to some higher job or simply fired depends entirely on how you do on the job and we cannot possibly know that.
