Hi,
As the title explains I have an unpaid IT Internship coming up soon. It will be unpaid. This will be the best opportunity of all the jobs that I've had so far. This job will teach me about IT consulting, networking and systems administration, and junior database administration tasks. I'm getting this job through an employment agency because I'm really struggling to find an IT job on my own. So far I've been working another food service job at a contractor for another local business in my area. They do have a tech department, but I might have to relocate to another state (which I can't afford at the moment). But later on I can try to transfer departments to get out of the food service department.

The employment agency that I'm working with told me to tell my boss at the contractor to slash my hours to make myself available for this internship.

Wonderful! What will you learn in your internship? Did you check with your current employer that your schedule change or restriction will be acceptable?
