I'm not much good at math, and I'm making this up on the spot, but I would asume that one could find what fraction of the the gun's mass the projectile has (Mp/Mg), and the gun's rearward acceleration will be that same fraction of the projectile's forward acceleration. So if Mp/Mg = n, then Ap x n should = Ag.
