AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around whether the forum is appropriate for conversations about history. It is noted that history is categorized as a social science, suggesting that discussions may be better suited for a different forum focused specifically on social sciences. However, there is acknowledgment of the overlap between Earth history and human history, particularly in relation to early civilizations like the Egyptians and Mediterranean cultures, which have been influenced by various Earthly phenomena.

Someone has noted that history is a part of social science, so that may be where you may want to go.

History is a social science.

If so then you have landed in the wrong spot, I'm afraid. Of course there is much overlap in Earth history and history of mankind. he earliest history of the Egyptians and mediterranian cultures has been interfered by quite some Earthly phenomena.

Historian seeks recognition for first English king https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c9d07w50e15o Somewhere I have a list of Anglo-Saxon, Wessex and English kings. Well there is nothing new there. Parts of Britain experienced tribal rivalries/conflicts as well as invasions by the Romans, Vikings/Norsemen, Angles, Saxons and Jutes, then Normans, and various monarchs/emperors declared war on other monarchs/emperors. Seems that behavior has not ceased.
