AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on coding specific mathematical symbols in LaTeX, particularly "does not divide" represented as "not |" and "is not congruent to" represented as "not ≡". The correct LaTeX commands for these symbols are provided: $$x\nmid y$$ for "does not divide" and $$a \not\equiv b$$ for "is not congruent to". Despite initial difficulty in finding this information, users are encouraged to explore resources like Detexify for assistance in identifying LaTeX symbols. The conversation highlights the importance of utilizing available guides and tools for coding in LaTeX effectively.

I've tried to figure it out but did not find them:
Does anybody know how to code the symbols of "does not divide" = "not |" and "is not congruent to" = "not ≡" in LaTex?
Thanks for reading.

$$x\nmid y$$
$$a \not\equiv b$$
Most (!) google hits for "latex does not divide" and "latex not congruent symbol" describe those symbols.

Thank you. I've just read several pdf and the guide here. I should have found that solution by myself.
