AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around the frustration of constantly switching between Text and Math modes in a software application. A user seeks a way to maintain Math mode until a manual toggle is initiated. The solution provided involves using the LaTeX system, which allows users to enter math formulas using specific markup. Inline math can be entered with $math formula$, while display mode uses $$math formula$$. Additionally, the shortcut Ctrl-M is suggested for quickly returning to Math mode.

Hey crew,

Playing around with the aforementioned software and I am finding myself becoming agitated that I am continually having to switch between Text and Math.

Hit enter, and its back to Text. What I want to do is make it Math always until I decide to toggle. Not sure if this is possible but on the chance that it is, I would be indebited if someone could enlighten me on the procedure for making it so.

Cheers,

well, you can use the LaTeX system. then you just type out the markup and you decided when you want to be in a math environment or not by using $math formula$ for inline and $$math formula$$ for display mode.

Ctrl-M will get you right back into math mode.

(I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
Sorry if 'Profile Badge' is not the correct term. I have an MS 365 subscription and I've noticed on my Word documents the small circle with my initials in it is sometimes different in colour document to document (it's the circle at the top right of the doc, that, when you hover over it it tells you you're signed in; if you click on it you get a bit more info). Last night I had four docs with a red circle, one with blue. When I closed the blue and opened it again it was red. Today I have 3...
