Calculating Nusselts Number for Water Flow

AI Thread Summary
To calculate the Nusselt number for water flowing at 1.5 m/s with a bulk temperature of 32°C in a 2.54 cm ID duct with a wall temperature of 43°C, three methods can be utilized: empirical correlations, the Dittus-Boelter equation, and the Reynolds number approach. The discussion emphasizes the importance of understanding the flow regime and thermal properties of water to apply these methods accurately. Participants are encouraged to demonstrate their own calculations or insights to facilitate better responses. Posting in the correct forum category is also advised for optimal assistance. Engaging with the content meaningfully can lead to more productive discussions and solutions.

hey guys i got a problem. If you are given the bulk temperature of water, flowing at a velocity of 1.5m/s, to be 32 degrees celsius and is flowing through a 2.54cm ID duct which has a wall temperature of 43 degrees celsius. How can you calculate the nusselts number using three different ways?

What have you found out about it so far? This looks like an assignment and you should post it in the appropriate forum if you want the best chance of a good answer - but only after you have shown some input of your own.

Thread 'Is there a white hole inside every black hole?'
This is what I am thinking. How much feasible is it? There is a white hole inside every black hole The white hole spits mass/energy out continuously The mass/energy that is spit out of a white hole drops back into it eventually. This is because of extreme space time curvature around the white hole Ironically this extreme space time curvature of the space around a white hole is caused by the huge mass/energy packed in the white hole Because of continuously spitting mass/energy which keeps...
