AI Thread Summary
A recent claim about a discovery at Bell Labs suggests a light source that absorbs darkness instead of emitting radiant energy. This assertion has been met with skepticism, as it contradicts established scientific understanding of light. The discussion emphasizes that the burden of proof lies with the individual making the claim, rather than those questioning it. Additionally, the concept of a "Dark Sucker" has been recognized as a long-standing joke, further indicating that the claim lacks credibility and is likely intended as humor rather than a serious scientific breakthrough.
