AI Thread Summary
Teachers seeking to help students with algebra problems, particularly in understanding the order of operations and fractions, are encouraged to create review materials with various practice problems. Resources like math-drills.com offer worksheets on PEMDAS and fractions, which can be useful for this purpose. It's suggested to teach the BODMAS rule for order of operations, although some prefer BEDMAS for clarity regarding exponents. Practicing with fraction worksheets is also recommended to enhance understanding. Utilizing these strategies and resources can effectively support students in mastering pre-algebra concepts.

Here's a few links. I googled "Free PEMDAS Worksheets".

First Link. You can refresh this page and get randomly generated new sheets, supposedly.

http://www.math-drills.com/orderofoperations.shtml. Not so many sheets, but this site has fractions (scroll all the way to the bottom).

You get the idea.

thanks very much

You're welcome!

You should first teach your students the BODMAS rule which goes like this Bracket open,Division,Multiplication,Addition and then Subtraction and for understanding fraction tell them to practice on fraction worksheets.

Please teach yourself what the mnemonic stands for before confusing anyone else.

BODMAS the O stands for Orders, which I find confusing, BEDMAS is better with E standing for Exponents or Exponentiation

Insights auto threads is broken atm, so I'm manually creating these for new Insight articles. In Dirac’s Principles of Quantum Mechanics published in 1930 he introduced a “convenient notation” he referred to as a “delta function” which he treated as a continuum analog to the discrete Kronecker delta. The Kronecker delta is simply the indexed components of the identity operator in matrix algebra Source: https://www.physicsforums.com/insights/what-exactly-is-diracs-delta-function/ by...
Suppose ,instead of the usual x,y coordinate system with an I basis vector along the x -axis and a corresponding j basis vector along the y-axis we instead have a different pair of basis vectors ,call them e and f along their respective axes. I have seen that this is an important subject in maths My question is what physical applications does such a model apply to? I am asking here because I have devoted quite a lot of time in the past to understanding convectors and the dual...
