Proving Pluto's Orbit Inside Neptune's - Maths Investigation

AI Thread Summary
Pluto's orbit is highly elliptical, allowing it to occasionally cross inside Neptune's orbit. This phenomenon occurs due to the differing orbital paths and timings of the two celestial bodies. The investigation focuses on proving the duration and conditions under which Pluto resides within Neptune's orbit. Understanding these orbital dynamics is essential for grasping the complexities of planetary motion in our solar system. The discussion highlights the need for mathematical analysis to support these observations.

Hi guys

Im currently investigating planetary orbits in maths and one of our problems is to prove that Pluto spends a good deal of its time inside the orbit of Neptune.

If anyone could help that would be great.

Thanks

Kyle

Pluto has highly epliptical orbit so somtimes it crosses into Neptunes orbit while Neptune goes outside of it's Pluto's orbit.
I'am not sure if that answers your question.

TL;DR Summary: In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation. In case of failure to detect alien signals, it will further expand the radius of the so-called silence (or rather, radio silence) of the Universe. Is there any sense in this or is blissful ignorance better? In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation. Thread 'Could gamma-ray bursts have an intragalactic origin?'
This is indirectly evidenced by a map of the distribution of gamma-ray bursts in the night sky, made in the form of an elongated globe. And also the weakening of gamma radiation by the disk and the center of the Milky Way, which leads to anisotropy in the possibilities of observing gamma-ray bursts. My line of reasoning is as follows: 1. Gamma radiation should be absorbed to some extent by dust and other components of the interstellar medium. As a result, with an extragalactic origin, fewer...
