SUMMARY

The discussion centers on finding accessible resources for self-study in digital communication, specifically focusing on the conversion of analog signals to digital, transmission methods, noise and power analysis, and modulation techniques. A recommended resource is "Introduction to Communication Systems" by Stremler, although it is noted that this book may not be the easiest for self-learners. The user seeks simpler alternatives that effectively cover these topics.

PREREQUISITES
  • Basic understanding of signal processing concepts
  • Familiarity with analog and digital signal characteristics
  • Knowledge of modulation and demodulation techniques
  • Ability to interpret block diagrams in communication systems
NEXT STEPS
  • Research simpler textbooks or online courses on digital communication fundamentals
  • Explore resources on analog-to-digital signal conversion techniques
  • Learn about noise analysis in communication systems
  • Investigate various modulation and demodulation methods in digital communications
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for students, self-learners, and professionals in telecommunications or electrical engineering looking to enhance their understanding of digital communication systems.

What kind of digital communications? What is the scope of what you want to learn?

My main communication textbook is "Introduction to Communication Systems" by Stremler:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/0201184982/?tag=pfamazon01-20

It's not an easy book to self-learn from, however...

1st thanks for response :)

2nd the titles that interest me : about the process to convert signal from analog to digital .. the ways to transmitted and received signal plus the block diagrams ...how i can find the noise and power .. and types of modulation and demodulation of digital ... and i should to learn it by my self so i need one simple !
