The Hummel Park pic was touched up in Lightroom a bit to give it a dramatic effect worthy of the park's legends. So no, it's not completely natural. There's a bit of artistic license there. [Edit: But nothing too crazy, just some creative dodging and burning; creative contrast, clarity, and vibrance adjustments with masks, etc. All hand done.]

Pen-y-ghent is actually first, the walk from there to Whernside seem to take forever.

The lad with the bobble hat was 17 at the time. A tough little lad.
It was not easy running to front to get a decent shot either.

2001, the lab went through some changes. Probably the angriest period of my working life. I, we got through it. The foreign students got slack but no one else did.

First time in Ireland, first time I saw a starry sky like that. No ambient light at all on the camp site at night. It was breathtaking.
