I was just curious as to whether any of you use the same screen names on other sites. For example, I'm tribdog here and my email is tribdog@msn and there are about 640 other web pages that I had to register for and every time I am tribdog. Luckily it appears that I am the only one. (Nobody say 'thank god')

I have a different screen name on each site I visit. It makes it harder for people to trace me. I'm really paranoid about such things.

[Edit: Of course, recon is just a random name that makes it harder for people to trace me. I'm known as sesquipedalian on a site I no longer visit (that's why I'm telling you), and Geronimo on another site that got shut down.]

I have three names I use. I mainly use MacGyver, or if it is taken i throw some numbers on the end. Then of course i also have a screen name that i never supply any real information when setting up accounts with (like for things you know will sell you name and email address to junk mailers).

this is the first time I have used jimmy p, usually I am just maidonian2000 which corresponds with my email address. But then again I don't really register to many sites.

Actually, re-use was my reason for intentionally misspelling my name. The only time I ever ran into problems trying to use "Pergatory" was registering the domain name pergatory.com, which of all things was registered to a porn site at the time. I ended up getting pergatory.net instead which is fine. I've been using this handle for 16 years now, starting with Bulletin Board Systems before the Internet was publicly accessible. If you see a 'Pergatory' then odds are it's me! I have run into other Pergatory's though, specifically on ICQ where there are quite a few. I've never had anyone recognize me from another service I use, except those in online games who may recognize me from other games I played.

I use different names.

I try to use Peter Pan where ever I go, but it is really hard on sites with a lot of users. In those cases I just use my name or a variation of it:

ChadLandry
LandryChad
ChadELandry

things like that. Peter Pan has been my nickname for amost 5 years now. Most of my friends call me Pan

There seem to be many motais out on the internet. I end up having to put a cheap 0 or 1 at the end of my name if the original is taken up. Otherwise, ill probably just choose a random word (e.g. Benadryl, Mr. Sandwich).

I go by a few names, KingNothing is just one of them.

ANYWAY. I have two passwords I use. But I can't divulge such information.

I've tried using Njorl on other venues, but it is often unavailable. Obviously, people wish to pretend they're me, living out their fantasies.

I always have Michael as part of my name. For some reason it seems to be taken a lot of the time though (I can't think why :P), so I usually just have something after it, usually the year or possibly UK. Basically, I see myself getting very confused very quickly if I were to use anything other than Michael, and people would probably get annoyed if I ignored them because I didn't realize that they were speaking to me.

Ohhhhh... why not?

I'm usually always rathma, or alloran sometimes. Both are from favorite books of mine. Rathma is a necromancer who takes over the workd with legions of dead minions (sounds fun!) and Alloran was this alien who got stranded on Earth but then saved it from the nuclear genocide of the human race.
My signature, by the way, is the last line of the book when Rathma finally completed his quest for world domination. Kinda creepy, huh?
(If you can't tell, I like science fiction  )

I just pick a name I use for games. I normally pick Black Death, but that was a bit too negetive for the pf so I chose DarkAnt, the name I use when Black Death doesn't fit.
