AI Thread Summary
Modular form in instrumentation amplifiers refers to a design that allows for flexibility and customization in installation. This typically means that the amplifier is packaged with all necessary components, such as power supply smoothing capacitors and temperature compensation, integrated into a single unit. The modular approach facilitates easier installation and adaptation to specific requirements. It emphasizes the convenience of having a self-contained unit that can be easily integrated into various systems. Understanding this concept is crucial for selecting the right amplifier for particular applications.

I don't understand the meaning of the following statement.

SOME INSTRUMENTATION AMPLIFIERS ARE AVAILABLE IN MODULAR FORM TO SUIT SPECIAL INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS.

In the above statement i don't understand what is meant by modular form.
I know that module means a self-comtained independent unit but i guess all instrumentation amplifiers are self-contained independent units.

It probably means the IC, any power supply smoothing caps, temperature compensation etc all included on a PCB - and probably encapsulated in a plastic or metal case.
