AI Thread Summary
To solve the inequality involving absolute and maximum functions, it is essential to graph the functions to visualize their behavior. Understanding when the maximum function switches between expressions is crucial for determining the intervals. Analyzing the impact of the absolute value on the functions will also aid in solving the problem. This approach helps clarify the relationships and transitions between the functions. Properly interpreting these elements will lead to the correct solution for the interval.

The very first thing you should probably do is draw the functions.
This will require you to think already about, for example, when the max switches from one expression to the other, and what the abs does here.

I was reading documentation about the soundness and completeness of logic formal systems. Consider the following $$\vdash_S \phi$$ where ##S## is the proof-system making part the formal system and ##\phi## is a wff (well formed formula) of the formal language. Note the blank on left of the turnstile symbol ##\vdash_S##, as far as I can tell it actually represents the empty set. So what does it mean ? I guess it actually means ##\phi## is a theorem of the formal system, i.e. there is a...
