Solving Electric Field Vector Problems Using Gauss's Law

Click For Summary
The discussion focuses on the difficulty of finding practice problems related to applying Gauss's law and Maxwell's equations, specifically using electric field vectors to determine charge density. The user seeks examples, textbooks, or videos that cover similar problems for effective exam preparation. They mention using "Elements of Electromagnetics" as their primary textbook and inquire about other recommended texts that provide similar problem sets. The conversation emphasizes the importance of finding diverse resources to enhance understanding and practice in electromagnetism.

I'm preparing for exam but it seems I can't find problems similar to this on the internet.

Here I will apply Gauss's law on the electric field vector to get the charge density. but the problem is that I can't find similar examples on the internet that uses direct vectors on Maxwell's equations.

Is there some examples or books or even videos that have similar kind of problem?

Calculation of div E would give you an answer.

Thanks but that what I said in "Here I will apply Gauss's law on the electric field vector to get the charge density".

I'm looking for more examples and problems similar in form to this question not in just Gauss's Law but for all the Maxwell's equations. I need it for practice.

What textbook are you using? What are its main competitors?

I use "Elements of Electromagnetics" as main book.

Usually one names a textbook by its authors, since they all have much the same title.

But my point was that a good source of problems can be found in other, similar textbooks.

Given the current funding situation, you should contact potential departments or research groups before you apply and pay any application fees. Many programs are not taking new graduate students at all this cycle because of funding uncertainty, unless a specific advisor can show they already have money to support you for five years. This is what I’ve heard directly from 20–30 programs. Do not waste money applying blindly.
