AI Thread Summary
Factors affecting testosterone levels include physical activity, particularly resistance training that targets large muscle groups, and exposure to sunlight. Natural methods to boost testosterone levels encompass dietary choices, such as consuming foods rich in zinc and vitamin D. Anticipating intimate moments or engaging in competitive situations with other males can also elevate testosterone. However, the body regulates its hormone production, maintaining levels within a natural upper limit.

ive done a search on google and found a lot of things about supplements and muscle building etc.

im wondering what factors affect the amount of testosterone in your body?

ive read working large groups of muscles increases it, and also exposure to sunlight (apparently)

can anyone list any ways one can increase their testosterone levels naturally by exposing themselves to particular things (like a type of food etc)

thanks

If you're male, anticipating a visit with one's partner will increase testosterone, as will conflict with other males. There's generally an upper limit on your own natural production, since the body is pretty good at keeping steroids produced to just the levels that you need. (I'm keeping this explanation very simplified right now, because I'm not really sure what you're looking for or why.)

I am reading Nicholas Wade's book A Troublesome Inheritance. Please let's not make this thread a critique about the merits or demerits of the book. This thread is my attempt to understanding the evidence that Natural Selection in the human genome was recent and regional. On Page 103 of A Troublesome Inheritance, Wade writes the following: "The regional nature of selection was first made evident in a genomewide scan undertaken by Jonathan Pritchard, a population geneticist at the...
I use ethanol for cleaning glassware and resin 3D prints. The glassware is sometimes used for food. If possible, I'd prefer to only keep one grade of ethanol on hand. I've made sugar mash, but that is hardly the least expensive feedstock for ethanol. I had given some thought to using wheat flour, and for this I would need a source for amylase enzyme (relevant data, but not the core question). I am now considering animal feed that I have access to for 20 cents per pound. This is a...
