The use of electromagnetic resonance to distort space time

It depends on what exactly you mean. But yes, it is.
Anything that has energy distorts space-time according to einstein's equations for general relativity http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einstein's_equation

Electromagnetic fields do carry energy, so they do distort space-time.
 
Electromagnetic resonance is a very useful phenomenon. The first thought that comes to mind is tuning radio receivers, though I imagine that one could consider related phenomenon such as lasers as examples of electromagnetic resonance.

The amount of energy momentum in an electromagnetic field is very small, however, so electromagnetism - resonant or not - doesn't seem to suggest a practical way to manipulate or distort space-time for human beings on Earth. A grain of sand would do much more to distort space-time than our most powerful broadcast transmitter, for instance - as the grain of sand carries considerably more energy. Energy and momentum, in the form of the stress-energy tensor, is what distorts the fabric of space-time according to general relativity.
 
Actually, Electromagnetic fields do not carry energy, they only ttransfer it. Electromagnetic waves do all the carrying.
 
OK, so this has bugged me for a while about the equivalence principle and the black hole information paradox. If black holes "evaporate" via Hawking radiation, then they cannot exist forever.
