AI Thread Summary
The issue arises from inputting the expression -1x/(x<o)/(x>-1) into a calculator, which results in an error indicating it is not an algebraic expression. To resolve this, users are advised to clear any existing variables in the calculator. Additionally, experimenting with different variable names, such as y, z, t, or xy, may help in successfully processing the expression. The TI-84 calculator successfully handled the input, suggesting that the problem may be specific to the calculator being used.

It saids its not an algebraic expression how do I fix that.
I try it with an ti 84 and it worked.

Have you tried clearing your variables? Maybe try something other that x, such as y, z, t, or even xy (which is not the same as x*y).

This week, I saw a documentary done by the French called Les sacrifiés de l'IA, which was presented by a Canadian show Enquête. If you understand French I recommend it. Very eye-opening. I found a similar documentary in English called The Human Cost of AI: Data workers in the Global South. There is also an interview with Milagros Miceli (appearing in both documentaries) on Youtube: I also found a powerpoint presentation by the economist Uma Rani (appearing in the French documentary), AI...
