I'm sorry, but Adult Swim cartoons shouldn't be in the top best shows of all time  even though I love ATHF.

Here is my short list:

Seinfeld
M.A.S.H.
Cheers
I Love Lucy

I see a lot of people have the same taste as me...

Law and Order
Seinfeld
The Simpsons
Cheers
Frasier (that is the only Series-Spinoff combo on my list)
MASH
Mork and Mindy
The Wonder Years

Simpsons

Scrubs and Malcolm in the middle are amongst my favourites

Simpsons
Just Shoot Me
Talk Radio (I think its gone forever now )
Frasier
The Drew Carey Show and Who's Line Is It Anyway
Saturday Night Live
The West Wing

Just Shoot Me is soo classic, seriously the best stuff out there, Talk Radio was super great too but I haven't seen it forever. For some strange reason though I think I have the name wrong!? Does anybody know what show I'm talking of?

Do you mean Sports Radio, I think it was that? If so, I really like that show too.

I want to add "24", and Sopranos.

No it's not Sports Radio, and its not talk radio either. I just remember it's News Radio. Man that was a great show. Oh and I've got to add That Seventies Show, Ashton Kutcher is a funny funny guy.

I am obsessed with...

Dragon Ball Z
Ruromi Kenshin
Yu Yu Hakusho
Scientific American
Nova
I Love Lucy
Donna Reed(60's show)
STAR TREK!
State of Grace
Lizzie Maguire
ER

I know it sounds like I watch a lot of tv, but I barely do...(don't like it)

I don't have cable or satellite and I can't stand shows being interrupted by ads every five minutes (sorry, it's the European influence in me). So I mainly watch public television. The News Hour with Jim Lehrer is slow enough and talky enough for my tastes. But I don't like the OLD British comedies on public television.

Seinfeld is the best American show I have seen and the early Roseanne was good. I don't understand the Simpsons, nor do I understand the "humor" of Leno and Letterman. I don't think I have ever laughed at those shows.

leno and lettermen suck conan is the best out of all that late night crap

My favorites, in no particular order:

Daria (probably my favorite, but the rest are in no particular order)
8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter
Less Than Perfect (why did ABC have to drop that show? )
According to Jim
Mad About You
Rocket Power (childish, I know, but I couldn't get enough of Twister)
AFV
Whose Line Is It Anyway? (a true classic)
The Three Stooges

There are more, but I don't have time to post all of my favorite shows.

3. Buggaloos
4. H.R. Puff-N-Stuff

1. Simpsons. (Original, aren't I?)
2. Futurama
3. Family Guy
4. Fraiser (now sadly going down in quality)
5. Various anime with unintelligible and irrelevant names.
6. Stargate SG1
7. Assorted Star Trek
8. Who's line is it anyway?
9. 24
10. Horizon (scientific tv show in UK, in case you care)
11. Bremner, Bird and Fortune (sartirical current affairs show)
12. 2DTV (satirical cartoon current affairs show)

and others...

M*A*S*H
Cheers

I also loved News Radio,Adult Swim, and Conan in college, as did most of my friends. Interesting how similar our tastes tend to be. Also sort of funny how you can easily guess pretty much everyone here's age from the shows the listed.

Hmmm, no Friends, Sex in the City, soaps, or Ab Fab. Today's sociology assignment: what can you conclude about the average PF'er from this?

Sliders was good, until they killed off John Rhys-Davies' character at, I think it was, the end of season 3. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!? I love that guy.

For me,
Seinfeld
Babylon 5
Stargate SG1
Star Trek
Andromeda (just so fake it's funny)

But the best way to watch them is to buy the dvds and watch a whole season in at most a week. (When time is not a factor)

The Young Ones was great! I am a sucker for sketch comedy! The Kids in the Hall?? Mr. Show?

The X-files!
Fox always had me either sitting on the tip of my chair or rolling on the floor :P I almost have all the seasons on VHS :)

  • #31
I'm an X-o-phile, too.

MST3K still rocks, even thought they've whittled it down to only about 10 episodes that they show over and over.

Monty Python

I can't believe Babylon 5 has only gotten one mention; I think it's the best show ever made!

And if I could find Daria I'd still be watching. Even in re-run, she' da bomb! Truthfully now, did any of you other guys ever have a crush on her?

  • #32
I'm going to hop upon my soapbox for Sports Night. Brilliany writing, sharp cast...nothing beats it, as far as I'm concerned.

Forgot that one--loved the first 5 seasons.

I also forgot Taxi.

- Simpsons
- X-files
- Alladin (don't laugh...I love cartoons)
- Sliders (used to be)
- South Park...

  • #35
yes, yes, I think we're all in agreement: John Rhys Davies as Arturo was the best part of Sliders.

  • #36
I forgot to mention I really liked "Coach" with Craig T Nelson.

  • #37
i forgot harvey bird man attorney at law...oh and hamtoro that is good quailty crap

  • #38
- Bottom
- Coupling
- Red Dwarf
- Father Ted

All british comedy shows. I´m surprised no one has mentioned any of them before.

I have always liked british shows, they are witty and I´m often surprised when watching them. American shows can be funny, but I don´t get the feeling they are very original. Too often I know what´s going to happen. Swedish "comedy" shows are an abomination.

Jeff is just so damn funny

Monty Pythons Flying circus, not as good as the films but still very funny.

and my favourite Fawlty Towers John Cleese in one of the funniest TV series ever made but they made very few episodes definately worth watching.
