AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around the challenges of editing and hosting PDF files online. Standard image hosting services like Flickr and ImageShack do not support PDF uploads, leading to the suggestion of converting PDF pages to image files, which limits editing capabilities. Google Docs is mentioned as a potential solution for hosting and annotating PDFs, but it has limitations in editing compared to MS Word. Users are seeking a hosting service that includes a built-in PDF editor to facilitate easier editing and sharing of PDF content. The conversation highlights the need for better tools for managing and editing PDF files online.

hey everyone,

i have an ebook in pdf form and wanted some help with some of the portions there. online hosting services like flickr and imageshack don't allow uploading of pdf pages. while reading the book i can annotate, highlight etc. the only option I'm left with is to convert pdf pages to image files and then upload them and provide direct link then. but this way i won't be able to edit anything once the conversion is done. is there some service you know of which allow uploading of pdf pages? any ideas, please.

I'm not sure I exactly understand what you mean, but you could potentially use GoogleDocs.

Editing of PDF files online is restricted and not possible via standard image hosts.

You need to find a hosting system that has a built in PDF editor.

As above, I believe Google Docs has one.

In my discussions elsewhere, I've noticed a lot of disagreement regarding AI. A question that comes up is, "Is AI hype?" Unfortunately, when this question is asked, the one asking, as far as I can tell, may mean one of three things which can lead to lots of confusion. I'll list them out now for clarity. 1. Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Sorry if 'Profile Badge' is not the correct term. I have an MS 365 subscription and I've noticed on my Word documents the small circle with my initials in it is sometimes different in colour document to document (it's the circle at the top right of the doc, that, when you hover over it it tells you you're signed in; if you click on it you get a bit more info). Last night I had four docs with a red circle, one with blue. When I closed the blue and opened it again it was red. Today I have 3...
