Lovely

What a great face! And still so shiny - I'd love to feel her fur, it looks so soft!

Aww.. she's got beautiful colouring!

One of the greatest things in the world, PUPPY LICKS! She is so sweet! Congrats!

Evo snorgles Freija on the belly before MIH gets back from spreading her stimulation around. :approve:

Oops

SHE's gorgeous.

I guess that I should be more careful when it comes to gender, since the majority of people here thought I was a she at first!

Hello Kurdt, I'm somewhat new here. My name is Redbelly.

What pray tell is Freija's favorite kind of fish?

Our female cat Misty fetches mice. She let one loose in the kitchen when my son got hold of her while she was passing through with a mouse in her mouth. She dropped it and it ran under the counter then under the kitchen table behind some shoes and some boxes. I was moving the boxes when Misty jumped in. I suspected she had the mouse because she started growling. I pulled her out with the bottom half of the mouse hanging from her mouth. I had to ease the mouse out of her mouse, but then I dropped it, and Misty snatched it again (she's fast). I pried the mouse out of her mouth again and took it outside. It hopped away.

Dobermans do fetch, at least the one with whom I played and who belonged to a roommate in grad school. She also liked to fetch me by walking into my room and taking my forearm in her mouth. She was very playful.

Redbelly, have you been fish slapped yet?

Love your avatar, BTW!

Freija means woman apparently. I don't know what fish she likes yet redbelly but I don't think pets have been initiated with fish, just members.

Astro: Our previous Dobe would not fetch. She'd chase stuff then run off to a corner and chew it. Our newDobe Freija got her first ball and ran off into a corner to chew it. I've seen vids of Dobes doing the same thing. Then again they're not gun dogs.

Um, no ... and I am rather fond of shrimp (if that counts as a fish).

Love your avatar, BTW!
Thanks!

Darn shrimp are hard to hold onto.

Welcome to PF!

You need some sort of shrimp canon.

{rubbing face gingerly} Perhaps the jumbo variety would have worked better. Too late now!

Welcome to PF!

"NOW" you tell me!

I was thinking a sling shot would be perfect for shrimp, but I didn't want to put someone's eye out.

Now, with a canon, it will just knock them unconscious, then we can just run like hell.

It takes a lot of planning and forethought to fish whack people.

Redbelly totally lied. I shrimp slapped him in another thread.

First time a new member has gotten it twice, I think.

Oh wait, I think I found it https://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?p=1733248#post1733248
Must have knocked me unconscious. Well, that does explain the 24 hour blackout I experienced a couple days ago.

Boy this is hard work. She is trouble . She is into everything and is very bold. She launches herself at the sofa in an attempt to get on your knee. Sometimes successful and sometimes not. She is also teething so she's trying to bite everything, but she's now pretty much house trained and knows she can only bite her toys and rawhide. I'm tired.

EDIT: image host is being silly, I had a couple more to post but I'll do it later.

Puppies can be a handful.

My last house and everything in it was destroyed by "THE JAWS OF DEATH". AKA a yellow lab. She even ate the windowsills. :bugeye:

  • #39
Oh Kurdt, you might be in for it  ! My Chocolate Lab was the boldest puppy I've ever known, totally fearless! She took A LOT of work to tame - I know how much energy it takes out of you. Luckily I was a stay-home mom at the time, so I had the time.

She's a beautiful puppy!

No she seems quite controllable now. I think we were all excited by the newness. But she hasn't had a whine or a cry or anything after being separated from mother and siblings. We're all amazed by her and its helped establish her character very early. Shes lovely.

  • #41
Oh my, tastie rugs, plants AND tastie candles. I'm sure she will be a good girl for you, enjoy the puppy-ness.

  • #42
Ok, here's the extra two.

SO SWEET :!) !

I love the shot of her in your lap. Of course, you know she'll want to curl up in your lap when she's full-grown!

Yes, our last Dobe Emma was always trying to get on your knee at the ripe old age of 8.

My friend's dobe, Cleo was pretty big, and she was an inveterate Lap-lander, too. She always wanted to cuddle up.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing. The bigger the dog, the more they seem to like being on laps. I just wish I could reach through the monitor and give her a snuggle!

She is gorgeous. I've never seen that spelling in her name before, but is it related to the Norse Goddess that gives the name to Friday?

Yes its Norse in origin, but the spelling is German.
