AI Thread Summary
Essential knowledge for dosimetrists includes understanding radiation principles and dosimetry techniques. Comprehensive resources are not available in a single online location, making it necessary to consult multiple materials. The Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) offers published book lists that can guide further study. A broad range of topics is essential for a complete understanding of the field. Continuous learning from various sources is crucial for aspiring dosimetrists.

Does anyone know of any online material where I can learn everything one needs to know to be a dosimetrist? I.e. material on the aspects of raditation that they need to know etc?

Thanks

Everything? No way.

Go to www.ipem.org.uk[/URL] and look at their published book lists to see the sort of things you need to read.

I very much doubt that the entire sphere of dosimetry knowledge is available in one place online.

comparing a flat solar panel of area 2π r² and a hemisphere of the same area, the hemispherical solar panel would only occupy the area π r² of while the flat panel would occupy an entire 2π r² of land. wouldn't the hemispherical version have the same area of panel exposed to the sun, occupy less land space and can therefore increase the number of panels one land can have fitted? this would increase the power output proportionally as well. when I searched it up I wasn't satisfied with...
