I'm a biologist interested in physics.

Biology is undergoing several revolutionary changes, but physics is interesting too!
I am interested in the physical aspects of information processing in biological entities, things like: genetic control systems, information transmission through reproduction, the generation of organisms by molecular and metabolic mechanisms, and the packing density of information containing molecules in living material.

I am also interested in visual presentations of scientific concepts. I feel this is the best way to get ideas across.
At least for me, but I'm pretty visual.

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
