What is the basic skills for a mech eng student required to work in AUS?

AI Thread Summary
To work as a mechanical engineer in Australia, graduates need a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and must complete at least three months of practical work experience. Key skills include proficiency in CAD software, engineering calculations, and an understanding of engineering principles. Graduates should also be aware that Engineers Australia accredits their degrees, ensuring they meet international standards. While there may be challenges for Asian graduates in the job market, developing technical skills and gaining relevant experience can enhance employability. Overall, mastering both technical and soft skills is crucial for success in the Australian engineering sector.

"In Australia, mechanical engineering degrees are awarded as Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or similar nomenclature[9] although there are an increasing number of specialisations. The degree takes four years of full time study to achieve. To ensure quality in engineering degrees, Engineers Australia accredits engineering degrees awarded by Australian universities in accordance with the global Washington Accord. Before the degree can be awarded, the student must complete at least 3 months of on the job work experience in an engineering firm."

Thank you for your reply, but other than that, any specific skill that i have to master it ? For example, CAD, calculation, and etc. And the most important things here is I am an ASIAN ! It is very hard for an Asian to get a job over there right?

Here's a video by “driving 4 answers” who seems to me to be well versed on the details of Internal Combustion engines. The video does cover something that's a bit shrouded in 'conspiracy theory', and he touches on that, but of course for phys.org, I'm only interested in the actual science involved. He analyzes the claim of achieving 100 mpg with a 427 cubic inch V8 1970 Ford Galaxy in 1977. Only the fuel supply system was modified. I was surprised that he feels the claim could have been...

In the past in this forum some members spoke about turbocharging 2 stroke but not in sufficient detail. The intake and the exhaust are open at the same time and there are no valves like a 4 stroke. But if you search online you can find carbureted 2stroke turbo sled or the Am6 turbo. The question is: Is really possible turbocharge a 2 stroke carburated(NOT EFI)petrol engine and...
