AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around the concept of DOGTV, a channel designed for dogs that features programming intended to entertain them. Critics argue that the idea is fundamentally flawed, emphasizing that dogs primarily need to smell and exercise, which DOGTV cannot provide. They express concerns that watching television could lead to frustration for dogs, as it does not allow for interaction or fulfill their biological needs, likening it to a form of torture. The overall sentiment leans towards skepticism regarding the effectiveness and appropriateness of such programming for pets.

Honestly? That belongs into the Weird News thread. It is a silly idea and biological nonsense. The main needs for any dog is to smell and to exercise and neither can be addressed this way. And even if the dog likes to "see", it will constantly be frustrated with the impossibility to interact otherwise. IMO this is a bit like:

hence torture.
