What is the derivation for this vague formula with strange symbols?

Sure, you posted this in the wrong forum, which is already bad enough. But if you're going to post that in the correct section, you'll still get no useful answers. Why not? You have given essentially no useful information. You posted a very vague formula in the title with symbols that look very very weird, and then you posted a one word: "derivation". What are we supposed to make of that? You'll get no replies this way.
