I remember when I was a little kid we use to have internet that slowed down once you reach a maximum download and so the speed of internet would slow down same as downloading speeds. But now our lives improved so has the quality of our internet and now I can download as much as I want without limit. What is the common name for this type of internet plan called?

An unlimited data plan? But realize that most of these plans are not unlimited and once you reach a cap, usually several hundred gig, you will be charged more. I mean, why stop you from downloading when they can just charge you extra?!
