hello everyone . I'm at my final year in college and I still didn't decide what profession should I choose.
I love physics and in particular nuclear.(I have the highest grade in physics in all college). I want to do nuclear physics or nuclear engineering. But the problem is that:
1)- I am Lebanese and live in Lebanon. There is no university were I could study it.
2)- My financial situation isn't that good.
3)- I am Arabic but I speak French and English really good.
So if anyone can help me in this subject, I would be thankful.

Welcome to PF!

It seems your only options are to study abroad in France, US or England. If your grades are high then maybe you'd qualify for a teaching assistantship in grad school.

One problem is that nuclear engineering is a sensitive subject considering that Iran has been trying to become a nuclear power and they live near you.

What do your profs think? Don't they have any ideas? Surely they must know about this difficulty and could advise you of what others have done in the past.

FAQ: Is studying nuclear engineering abroad my only option?

What should I do to start my research?

To start your research, you should first identify a specific topic or question that you are interested in studying. Then, you should conduct a literature review to see what has already been researched in that area. Next, develop a research question or hypothesis and design a research plan to test it.

How do I choose the right research methodology?

The choice of research methodology depends on the nature of your research question and the type of data you are collecting. Some common research methodologies include experimental, survey, case study, and qualitative research. Consider the strengths and limitations of each approach and choose the one that is most appropriate for your research question.

What are the steps involved in conducting a scientific experiment?

The steps involved in conducting a scientific experiment include: formulating a research question, developing a hypothesis, designing the experiment, gathering and analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and communicating the results. It is important to follow a standardized and systematic approach to ensure the validity and reliability of your results.

How do I ensure ethical considerations in my research?

To ensure ethical considerations in your research, you should obtain informed consent from participants, protect their privacy and confidentiality, minimize any potential harm, and disclose any conflicts of interest. It is also important to follow the ethical guidelines set by your institution or professional organization.

What should I do if my research findings do not support my hypothesis?

If your research findings do not support your hypothesis, it is important to acknowledge and discuss these results in your research paper. You can also explore possible explanations for the unexpected results and suggest areas for further research. Remember that negative results are still valuable and can contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge.
