AI Thread Summary
Tossing one end of a wormhole into the other could theoretically result in the two ends merging into a single wormhole, potentially causing the 4-dimensional space between them to collapse. However, there are concerns about the implications of this collapse, suggesting that alternative outcomes might occur instead. The discussion raises questions about the behavior of multiple wormholes, particularly if a third wormhole's end is also introduced into the mix. The complexities of wormhole interactions remain a topic of curiosity and speculation. Understanding these scenarios could provide deeper insights into the nature of spacetime and wormhole physics.

Seems like maybe they would just combine into one hole with no end, and the 4-d space between them would shrink to nothing. Then the whole thing would just disappear. But something bothers me about the idea of the space between them shrinking to nothing. Seems like something else might happen instead.

i would be interested to know the answer!

And what if you took one end of a third and moved it in as well? What if you took two normal wormholes and put the end of one into another?
