AI Thread Summary
When deciding between taking "Differential Equations and Linear Algebra" or just "Differential Equations," it's crucial to consider transfer credit policies at the prospective school. Typically, these subjects are offered as separate courses, suggesting that taking them separately may be beneficial. It's strongly advised to consult with the new school regarding their credit transfer requirements. Experiences shared indicate that a combined course can provide a foundational understanding, while a standalone "Differential Equations" class may delve deeper into advanced topics, particularly for students in physics.

In my school according to my degree I require to take
"Differential Equations and Linear Algebra" class but, there is another class called "Differential Equations". I am planning to transfer the next year to another school but, I don´t know which class of these two to take in order to get credit in another school.

Ask the other school.

Usually what I've seen, though, is that Linear Algebra and Diff EQ's are separate classes, so my guess is take them separately if you can.

I would agree to Poop-Loops's opinion to ask the new school.
For my class, I had to take "Differential Equations and Linear Algebra" class when I was a freshman. This subject which is main subject for every student taught me in general idea. Then I enroll in "Differential Equation" class which was in advanced detail for physics-major student.

TL;DR Summary: I want to do a PhD in applied math but I hate group theory, is this a big problem? Hello, I am a second-year math and physics double major with a minor in data science. I just finished group theory (today actually), and it was my least favorite class in all of university so far. It doesn't interest me, and I am also very bad at it compared to other math courses I have done. The other courses I have done are calculus I-III, ODEs, Linear Algebra, and Prob/Stats. Is it a...
