Which PF member makes you laugh or smile the most? It doesn't have to be outright jokes or humor that does it, maybe it is just they way they are or think.

I will start out and nominate Saint as the funniest person at PF. Not only does he keep me cracked up with his questions, he is totally unrepentant about it.

Hahaha, Seconded. Saint is hilarious.

I vote tribdog!

Wow, this is hard!

In no particular order, for being funny on a consistent basis - tribdog, jimmy p, Tsunami, Math Is Hard, Moonbear, Gokul, The Bob, Artman. tribdog may be the Grand Prize winner.

Marcus surprises me many times with his humor. :approve:

I'm rarely affected by text written without someone tangibly nearby to enjoy it with me;therefore, I have a difficult time voting. Through analysis of certain behaviors and writing styles I would say jimmy p has a unique sense of humor that is quite interesting.

funny folks

Better count yourself in there Evo. I remember at least two occasions when I have sprayed a mouthful of soda pop all over the monitor due to one of your clever quips!
and yeah, I got to agree, Tribdog is pretty darn funny... especially when he waxes poetic!

I vote for chroot. I find his constantly having to deal with the crackpots at this site quite humorous.

Paden Roder

I know he's been gone a while, but we mustn't forget Zooby !

You too MiH, your angst over chemistry is pretty funny. After all these great recommendations I have lots of new humor to check out. You guys are right about Tribdog though, I forgot about him. If anyone remembers Alexander, I used to laugh so hard at his logical processes.

Yes, zooby was a riot!

So was Njorl! He always had me in stitches! Does anyone know what happened to him?

Jimmy P. Hands down.

Ooooh...how could I forget Njorl ?

This one's among my favorite Njorl quotes (from the oft repeated brain teaser involving the liar and the truth teller)

"You ask, while imitating Sam Jackson, "Which way to City A. If you're lying to me, I'm going to come back and kick you're ass. I don't give a damn about no logic puzzles! What kinda jackass brothers always lie while the other tells the truth! DON'T ANSWER THAT! It was rhetorical. Don't they teach you rhetoric in logic puzzle land, you lamea** m***** f*****!"

Njorl"

Two categories: Oblivious and Raw Talent

Saint and Tribdog

I thought this site was about being serious.

I have no clue who I would vote for.

I'll vote for Bush, since that's what most people do when they don't know who to vote for.

Note: Stay on topic.

Zero was pretty funny.

  • #16
Under the oblivious category, the was the "cubered girl"...remember her, Boulder ?

She had only one post, and it was quite serious and emotional, but the heartless scavengers that we are, we jumped on it as soon as the thread looked dead.

  • #17
maybe zero, tom and boulderhead..
i don't know .. i haven't been here for a loo...oo.ong time so i can't judge.

  • #18
Saint his immoraly funny.

  • #19
Saint is so funny, he probably thinks we are complimenting him by voting him as the funniest person.

I find it hard to vote for the funniest person as everyone here keeps me smiling (for I don't laugh out loud). However, I think that Njorl was most consistent with humor in his posts.

Indeed, this one had a high placing. :-p Sad was I she never returned. :frown:

Like ravenous John Crow (vulture) did we partake in that feast.

Hmm, I will vote Ivan Seeking... to be different. Actually a lot of the time his threads make me crack up. And him and zooby had that pretty cool patent thread.

On a few occassions Evo's posts have made me laugh out loud and look like a complete moron (I always look somewhat like a moron, but laughing out loud at a computer screen really completes the look.)

I do this occassionally to clean the screen. (at least that's what I tell anyone watching)

Got to agree here too. I think Tribdog is just so off the wall sometimes. I think jimmy p, the Bob, Gokul43201, Math Is Hard, Moonbear, BoulderHead, Tom, Zooby, Ivan Seeking, Tsunami, Njorl are all pretty funny.

There most definitely is good humor to be found here. Tom actually has a great sense of humor (in addition to all his other talents), but there are so many others, too. It might be easier to identify the least funny members, but that would appear too cruel, I suppose.

  • #28
jimmy p is the funniest, no question about it. He's not the most consistently funny person, but 8 times out of 10 I like his jokes. I like him the best when he picks up on some obscure joke I make and rolls with it.
on the other hand the person who makes me laugh the most is me, I crack myself up all day. I can get too annoying though because I never play it straight.

and I'm too modest.

No funny

I am not funny, nor rediculous.I am very serious to express my opinions here, I don't hide my feeling and thinking, I am honest, straightforward.

Different people have different cultural background and experiences of life,
therefore we see the same thing but have different conclusions.

I am not like those who say onething and do another thing.

Saint, sometimes what you say makes me quite shameful of originating from SEA. I would say that you and I share roughly the same cultural background, yet I find that you differ greatly from the average Malaysian or Bruneian.

Have you met Hongkie, you will be shocked!
They are more materialistic, i am not!

I appreciate your candor and sincerity, it adds flavor to your humorous appeal..

Are you talking about those porno pictures you collect? I don’t understand; you speak ill of the women but enjoy looking at them. Have you ever heard of Jimmy Swaggart? Now, if you want serious comedy there it most definitely could be found. :approve:
I am not like those who say onething and do another thing.
Hahaha, oh, this is rich !
You add joy to my meaningless existence and best of all it doesn’t cost money. :-p

Please don't stereotype Hongkies. My mother is one, and so you could say I'm half-Hongkie. I just find a lot of your views disturbing, and not just your preoccupation with wealth.

  • #40
my opinions are not joke,
they are my philosophical thinking,
maybe some of you are complacent people, have no ambition to improve what you have now, therefore you think i am crazy for $.

who doesn't like money?
Like the Aesop's story, the fox which can not reach the grapes say that the grapes are sour.

Ridiculing me cannot make you better than what you are now,

Hong Kong has higher suicide rate than malaysia,
the people are empty spiritually.
very haughty,
i have bad impression about hongkie. VERY BAD!

He hasn't posted here in awhile, but I don't think he's dead. That's kind of a drastic assumption.

But Zero has some very amusing posts, where he'd quote someone and reply sarcastically. Quick, simple humour.

I wonder if I should consider this as a personal attack.

This argument has been going on for many, many pages now, and I am thoroughly confused. If you find Hongkies so empty, why do you want to become one?

ok ,forget it,
not all hongkies are bad.

Aww now I feel guilty... Ok my vote goes for tribdog and his modesty too, seeing as everyone is voting for lots of people.

  • #48
too late. you've cast your vote already. I'll remember it too.

  • #49
I got to go saint on this one.. even though I went off on him in the other thread, after reading his posts some more, I realize he's not intentionally being this way, which definitely adds to the the comical side.

Cheers to Saint, the most politically UN correct and contradictory PFer who doesn't even know it.

Oh, and I don't buy that "cultural" stuff.. I KNOW all malays aren't like this- it's YOU.. lol
