I am not a scientist although I should have been. I LOVE physics as I have a burning desire to know how it all works, how it all fits together. Favorite books, Dragon's egg, Dune, etc.

Thank you! I noticed that you are a HAM radio operator. Do you think I could setup a significant rig in a motorhome?

Of course! Start a thread in the EE forum asking for advice and we can help you set up your stealthy antennas and make sure you don't interfere with your neighbors' TV antennas. Do you have your HAM license already?

No, unfortunately all I currently have is a desire for off grid comms and a motorhome I live in full time.

I was recently watching an episode of "tiny homes" where the couple wanted to be able to move their home and paid a fortune for a 240 square foot home when I wondered why on Earth they didn't buy a luxurious spacious mobile home? Also, they paid way too much by buying the home in a very high priced area and then planning to move across country, so they accepted that paying ~ $200,000 was acceptable. Fools. I can understand if the tiny home is fixed onto the space, or if they need to fit onto a tiny space, but they didn't.

OK, this is no discussions, but couldn't help myself.

Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics. I wanted to join a science forum, especially one dedicated to Physics and maths, to apply these subjects to my engineering studies. I hope to learn a lot through this forum. Thank you for your warm welcome.
