Thank you for consuming much of my morning by not using your usual seed word and throwing me into my 'can I solve this problem?' mode.

I'm fairly certain that I would have another TIA* if I actually tried to solve this.

The narrowest I could get the guesses down to was on #3, where I came up with SQUAT, SPURT, and SHUNT

*TIA: Transient Ischemic Attack = A minor stoke, causing minimal brain damage.

"Bliminal Drain Tramage". But yeah ouch.

I have absolutely no idea why I guessed DICOT first. Maybe because I thought C was more probable than V. But in retrospect it was pretty stupid. Especially as I don't know what a DICOT is!

On the other hand, my game play is almost fully automated, based on simpleton logic, and guess #3 wasn't chosen by me, but by my current algorithm.

Is this an indication that AI may be have been employed to moderate the game?

Not really. My style of play almost guarantees that I get a bad score with such a word. E and T are both high value letters and I eliminate lesser values first.

Ah, I see. Also, it was specifically the bending over thing I didn't see the charm in. Visualizing it was perhaps easy enough, but understanding why anyone would do that to themselves wasn't quite as easy.

But OK. No idiom there then. I must admit I also had trouble finding a dictionary definition.
