What does negligible resistance mean?

In summary, negligible resistance refers to a substance having very low resistance, allowing for easy flow of electricity. It differs from zero resistance, which is a complete absence of resistance. The resistance of a substance is affected by its material, dimensions, and temperature, and is measured in ohms. Negligible resistance is important in electrical circuits for efficient and reliable flow of electric current.

why is answer for (6a)6J?
Negligible resistance means that the battery is a perfect source of DC voltage. The voltage at it's terminals is constant regardless of the current drawn.

The answer is not 6J.

Yes.

Related to What does negligible resistance mean?

1. What is the definition of negligible resistance?

Negligible resistance refers to the concept that a material or object has very little or insignificant opposition to the flow of electric current.

2. How is negligible resistance different from zero resistance?

Negligible resistance means that there is still some resistance present, although it is very small. Zero resistance, on the other hand, means that there is no resistance at all and the current can flow without any opposition.

3. What factors can affect the level of negligible resistance in a material?

The level of negligible resistance can be affected by the type of material, its temperature, and its physical properties such as thickness and conductivity.

4. Why is negligible resistance important in electrical circuits?

Negligible resistance is important in electrical circuits because it allows for efficient flow of current, minimizing energy loss and ensuring that devices are powered effectively.

5. Can a material have negligible resistance at all temperatures?

No, the level of negligible resistance can change with temperature. Some materials, such as superconductors, have negligible resistance at very low temperatures but may exhibit higher resistance at higher temperatures.
