Calculus: Finding First Derivatives for Functions - Homework Help
Hi, I was hoping someone could help me out with my homework set. I have done a lot of the questions, and it would help if someone could tell me if I have done them correctly. Thanks! :) Q1: Find first derivatives for the following functions (a)g(s,t)=sin(st^3)...- DTskkaii

Kinematics of Rigid Bodies question
@ Andrien Well, the pole accelerates to the left (opposite the direction of the car) at 0.9m/s^2, and accelerates downward at 9.8m/s^2. These are both constants, but I don't know which to use in the formula. It can't possibly as simple as angular vel=(0^2+2*0.9*90)^1/2- DTskkaii

Kinematics of Rigid Bodies question
Homework Statement The uniform 3.6m pole is hinged to the truck bed and released from the vertical position as the truck starts from rest with than acceleration of 0.9m/s^2. If the acceleration remains constant during the motion of the pole, calculate the angular velocity of the pole as it...- DTskkaii

Triple Integral in Cylindrical Coords
Homework Statement Construct a triple integral in cylindrical coords to find the volume of the cone r=z, where the height (z value) is limited by z=L. Should be in the form => {int[b,a] int[d,c] int[f,e]} (r) {dr dtheta dz} (Sorry for weird formatting above, brackets purely to make terms...- DTskkaii

MHB Dynamics Coursework; Angular Velocity, Springs, Force
Question: The flat circular disc rotates about a vertical axis through O with a constant angular velocity of 240rpm. Prior to rotation, each of the 0.5kg sliding blocks has the position x=25mm with no force in its attached spring. Each spring has a stiffness of 400N/m, Neglect any friction...- DTskkaii

Dynamics Coursework; Velocity/Acceleration/Kinetic Friction
I also found the third equation to use as 0=2Aa+2Ac. Using this I found T, and substituted it into find Aa and Ac. However, by this method Aa and Ac and equal with opposite signs (as I should have predicted from the above formula). This is incorrect, so I'm stumped again.- DTskkaii

Mech. engineering; Homework Help; Velocity&BrakeForce
Thankyou Jay! I worked out the first part using the kinematic eqn Vf^2 = Vi^2 + 2AD and got that Vf = 38.34m/s. Moving to parts 2 and 3, I am a little bit stuck. I believe that I am supposed to use this 'energy eqn': U1-2 + T1 + Vg1 + Ve1 = T2 + Vg2 + Ve2 or U1-2 = deltaT + deltaVg +...- DTskkaii
