Issue regarding oxygen storage with other elements
this is from Nick Lane's Oxygen book I didn't quite understand this paragraph regarding the sudden release of a large amount of oxygen from cyanobacteria following the ice ages i don't understand how it's better to bury it. surely reacting with organic matter would be better as it is... -

Why is hydrogen the most common element in the universe?
i understand that everything else is less as they are (in turn) made from hydrogen, but why was so much of hydrogen made in the big bang? i got a feeling because one proton and one electron is stable. (similarly, helium was produced as 2 nucleons + 2 electrons is also very stable) but I've... -

Consequences of proton size being smaller than thought to be?
Thanks for the reply. The article says they used http://i38.tinypic.com/1zobuyq.png". Surely the proton size affects spectroscopy, does it not? I'm interested in the fact that you mentioned that it's more interesting for physicists. I'm not debating, but I was wondering if you could explain why... -

Consequences of proton size being smaller than thought to be?
Hi, i was wondering what the implication is of the fact that the proton is smaller than was thought to be. there is an article about it http://www.chem.info/News/Feeds/2010/07/topics-plant-operations-the-proton-smaller-than-thought/" thanks -
