What is the direction of current in relation to the uniform magnetic field B?
Shouldn't the direction for all of these be left to right? I tried using Lenz Law on all of the above cases andd that's what I got- Physics197

Adding a dielectric to capacitors
For 2, would the charge decrease because the electric field decreases (due to the dielectric). and for 4, would the potential increase, because the capitance would increase (C is proportional to K), and the energy is 0.5C(V)2- Physics197

Understanding the Behavior of a Parallel Plate Capacitor: True or False?
Homework Statement The diagram shows a parallel plate capacitor with plate area A and spacing d. The capacitor can be connected to a battery of potential difference V by closing the switch. Assume d² << A. 1. The force on plate 1 due to plate 2 is F = Q²/(4πε0d²) î, where Q is the...- Physics197

Change in electric potential energy
1. Homework Statement A tire of radius 32.5 cm has a surface that is conducting. A charge of 4.89×10-8 C is then placed on the surface. The potential on the tire's surface is 1.35E+03 V. Later, suppose that some of the air is let out of the tire, so that the radius shrinks to 10.5 cm, the new...- Physics197
